Holding tax
The tax is a percentage of the property’s assessed annual value, not a flat amount.
Official timeline
90 days to fix the annual assessment
Ninety days, subject to receipt of all required information and documents. New construction falls under section 26(1) of the tax law, alteration or extension under 26(1)A, a rent increase under 27. A hearing notice is supposed to give you 7 days to respond.

One caveat
These are the rates published by Dhaka North City Corporation. Another city corporation or pourashava may set different ones, so check your own office’s charter.
