Registration within 45 days of birth is free. So is the replacement certificate after a correction.

Set by each local registrar office and printed on that office’s own charter
If you are aggrieved by a District Commissioner’s order on a correction, you may appeal to the Registrar General within 30 days. The appeal is free and carries a 60 working day limit.
