Who runs this

Nobody is at risk here. Everything is anonymous and still controlled, so the record stays accurate and rumour gets no foothold. Supported by citizens, for citizens, and all of it in the open.

Nobody is at risk

No name, photograph or identity is published here, on any side of it. A reporter’s identity is held encrypted, a reader is never counted or tracked, and the people who keep the site are anonymous too. Complaints are written against a role and an office, never against a person. Anonymity here is protection, not concealment.

Anonymous, and still controlled

Anonymity without control turns into rumour, so accuracy here does not rest on anyone’s good faith, it rests on mechanism. Every report carries a number and a date; the office concerned is sent notice of its right of reply and that reply publishes unedited; readers can corroborate, dispute, or attach their own paper; enough flags pull a report automatically. Pulled is not deleted: the report stays intact with its evidence, what came down and why is listed in public on the pulled reports page, and if the objection turns out to be wrong it comes back. Every figure on the site is counted from rows anyone can download and check for themselves.

Supported by citizens, for citizens

This is not a government complaints authority, it belongs to no party, and it is not a donor’s project. There is no advertising, nobody’s data is sold, and no amount of money changes what an office’s record says. There is exactly one way to change it, which is to answer it.
